We had an amazing fundraiser Wednesday night and first off we want to thank everyone who made it happen and of course all the donors who contributed generously to the Junior Scholarship Fund. Thanks to you, we will be able to extend our reach to still more lower-income juniors. Our deepest gratitude.
Speaking of extending our reach, if you missed the fundraiser, you missed the big news that we are rebranding from “The Manhattan Community Squash Center” to Open Squash!
The reason is simple: we have ambitious expansion plans and the current brand name doesn’t scale (in the words of the experts on these things). But the name Open Squash does, and better captures our mission of making squash accessible to all and “open” to everyone. We’re open to you, to everyone you know, and everyone in every community. We hope that all makes sense. It does to us!
