A couple of weeks ago, we announced our new squash team. Today we have another huge announcement: the legendary Harvard Squash coach, Mike Way, has agreed to serve as Senior Advisor to the Manhattan Community Squash Center!
By the way, for those of you who don’t know how legendary Mike is, see here.
As you may know, Mike believes passionately in the non-profit mission of Manhattan Squash and has already held two incredibly successful junior camps for us this summer.

Under this new arrangement, Mike will continue to hold summer camps for us, but in addition, he will serve as an ongoing adviser to us on all things squash, providing his incredibly valuable guidance, inspiration, and ideas – especially on program & curricular design. In addition, he’ll be visiting in person when he can, with a chance for our juniors (and adults) to meet and learn from him. Mike has developed a particular specialty around the mental side of the game and so we plan to incorporate into our curriculum many of his insights in that regard.
Last, but certainly not least, Mike also has a great eye for squash coaching talent, and so we expect to work closely with Mike to find coaching talent for Manhattan Squash especially as our needs grow over time.
Please join us in welcoming Mike Way to the team! We can’t overemphasize how important his contribution will be to our mission of squash excellence, innovation, and access to all.
