This is another geeky post about squash courts.  When we chose to put our center into an office building the landlord insisted (and we agreed) that the thwack thwack thwack of balls on the walls should not be heard on any other floor.  To that end we were asked to build an entire second concrete floor and put an air gap between it and the original floor for sound insulation and to make sure that the people below us are not disturbed.  This is called a “Jack Slab” and involves pouring concrete and then “jacking it up” to create the air gap.  I’ve taken a video of it which you can watch below.
