Another tournament is set to light up Open Squash’s FiDi location in the New Year as Open Squash is thrilled to be partnering with the College Squash Association (CSA) to host the heats of the 2025 CSA Individual Championships in January, with the semifinals and finals taking place on the glass court at Grand Central Station as part of the prestigious J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions.

Our exciting partnership brings the top college squash players to Open Squash, offering a unique opportunity to showcase CSA’s athletes. The College Squash Association (CSA) is the governing body overseeing men’s and women’s intercollegiate varsity squash in the United States.

The Individual Championships are scheduled from Saturday, January 25, through Tuesday, January 28.  Open Squash – FiDi will host the early-round matches on Saturday and Sunday. The action then moves to the Tournament of Champions (ToC) Glass Court in Grand Central Terminal, where the Pool and Ramsay division Semifinals will take place on Monday, January 27, starting at 11:30 a.m. The Finals for these divisions are set for Tuesday, January 28, at 1:30 p.m. on the Glass Court.

“We’re thrilled to bring the CSA Individual Championships to New York City,” said Harry Smith, Commissioner of the CSA. “The January event will allow our athletes to perform at peak form mid-season. We’re delighted to work with Open Squash to amplify the excitement of college squash and expand our tournament’s reach. Their state-of-the-art facility provides the perfect environment for our players to compete and highlights the incredible squash community in New York City.”

“College players make up a good proportion of our thriving squash community in New York City,” said Seth Frankle, VP of Operations with Open Squash. “We’re delighted to help college players get inspired by playing alongside professionals in a high level tournament, and at our incredible facility in downtown New York.”

Traditionally, the Individual Championships followed the CSA’s season-ending National Team Championships, requiring a quick turnaround for athletes. Moving the event to mid-season allows athletes to compete at their best, enabling the CSA to highlight the depth of college squash talent and deliver a premier experience for fans.
