Play the Pro at our 2024 Fall Fundraiser!

We're gearing up for our Squash For All Fall Fundraiser at Open Squash FiDi on Thursday, October 17th - Come join!

Since 2020, Open Squash's supporters and community have contributed more than $1 million in discounted memberships and programming. Our mission is to make the game accessible to all. That's why we're gearing up for our Squash For All Fall Fundraiser at Open Squash FiDi on Thursday, October 17th. If you raise $5k, you can "Play the Pro"!

Imagine this is a video game and you get to choose your opponent from our intimidating roster. Who will you choose? Before you do, remember these three all have a trio of Harvard degrees between them, in mechanical engineering, psychology, and  economics. In other words, they're not only world class athletes but world class brains:

  • World #1 Ali Farag—famous for weaving a web around his opponents, Ali is also known as the consummate gentleman on court. He'll probably give you a few points and applaud the odd shot before trouncing you. But who knows? Maybe you'll surprise yourself? And the entire world?
  • World #7 Gina Kennedy—famous as "the whirlwind", Gina's first step off the 'T' is as fast as you'd expect for a woman who once won the junior London Marathon. You might keep up for a point. Possibly a point and a half. But then what?
  • World #12 Victor Crouin—bringing his cerebral approach to training and competition, the "Iron Marshal" is famous for his signature "fake straight" high backhand volley, which sends victims the wrong way. He also thrashed Paul Coll at the Tournament of Champions last year. But you're fitter than Paul Coll, aren't you?

All our proceeds benefit our Junior Scholarship Fund. Together, we're creating inclusivity in the game, both financially and socially. And of course, there's nothing quite like playing against a professional player to make you realize how much there is to grow and learn...

Our fundraisers have become increasingly renowned as a place to come and be part of the Open Squash family. You'll be engaging with people who are just as passionate about squash as you are.

Our journey since 2020 has been peppered with challenges including navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. We've also grown as a community to more than 700 members. Now, with two centers in New York City, we're set to double down on our commitment to  making squash more accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful for all.

We invite you to join us in our ongoing mission. Whether you're a seasoned player, a curious newcomer, or someone looking to support the cause, there's a place for you at Open Squash.

Don't want to play? You can sponsor a Junior participant from our scholarship program to play the pro. Or join us as a spectator. Or join as an event sponsor. Click here to see all event opportunities. Whether you come to play, learn, or simply to support, your participation will fuel our aim to break down barriers in squash and build an even stronger, more inclusive community.

So, mark your calendars for Thursday, October 17th, at Open Squash FiDi, and join us in making a difference. We'll see you in the Fall!
