Book a LessonWith over 15 years of teaching experience, Asghar Abbas brings his international expertise and passion for squash to Open Squash. Born in Pakistan, Asghar trained under the guidance of the national Pakistan coach and former World No. 2 Gogi Alla-ud-Din. He rose to prominence as a top-ranked junior in Pakistan, reaching the quarterfinals of the British Junior Squash Championship twice and competing in prestigious events like the World Junior Squash Championship and the PIA National Junior Open, where he made it to the semifinals.
After transitioning from junior to professional squash, Asghar competed in and qualified for numerous professional tournaments. His extensive coaching background includes teaching juniors and adults at renowned facilities like the BFC Bronxville Field Country Club, SquashRX, and the New York Health & Racquet Club. As the founder and Head Squash Coach for the Grace Church School Squash Team, he introduced squash to new players and helped grow the sport at the grassroots level.
As an Assistant Coach at Open Squash, Asghar is dedicated to fostering the development of players of all levels, sharing his love for the game, and helping players unlock their full potential. His international experience and commitment to player growth make him an invaluable asset to the Open Squash coaching team.
