Frequently asked questions

The details

What does the Open Squash Ball Warmer do?

It keeps squash balls warm so they feel lively from the first hit. This is especially helpful for beginners, since warming up a ball can be difficult and time-consuming.

What temperature should I use?

We recommend 95–100 °F for recreational play. The maximum suggested setting is 105 °F, which creates a very lively ball.

How long does it take to warm a ball?

From a cold start, a ball reaches playing temperature in about 10 minutes.

How many balls can it hold?

Each tray holds up to 9 balls. With 2 trays, the warmer holds up to 18 balls. For self-serve use, 2 trays make it easy for players to grab a ball without removing the tray.

Can I leave balls in the warmer all day?

Yes. The balls stay consistently warm and do not get hotter than the set temperature.

How do I change the temperature or run time once it has started?

Once running, the dials lock so they cannot be bumped accidentally. To change the settings, hold the power button for about 5 seconds to turn the warmer off, then reset the temperature and time.

Will warming the balls reduce their lifespan?

Squash balls wear out mostly from mechanical play and impact. Gentle heat in the 95–105 °F range is unlikely to meaningfully shorten their lifespan.

How much does it cost?

The Open Squash Ball Warmer costs $59. The price is simply meant to cover our production and fulfillment costs. Our goal is to make the game more enjoyable, especially for newer players, and to share this innovation with the squash community at the most affordable price we can.
