Not sure? Start a sign-up and say what you know — age, whether they’ve played, when you can come — and a member of the Academy team places them. Moving between groups is normal.

Ages 5–6

Mini Green

A first racquet. Games, movement and a lot of laughing, with a coach who teaches the very youngest every week. Nobody needs to have hit a ball before.

Ages 7 and up · new to competitive play

Green

The basics done properly: serving, returning, the main shots, and enough tactics to play real points and enjoy them. Weekday afternoons at both facilities and Saturday mornings — once a week or twice.

Coaches group by age and level inside every session, so a first-timer and a returning player both get the right work.

Teen Green

Starting squash as a teenager is normal here. Teen Green is the Green curriculum at a teenager's pace, with players the same age — Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons.

Blue

Where it leads: refining technique, hitting with a purpose, and playing real matches — plus Match-Play Saturdays. Coaches move players up when they are ready; you never have to ask.

Competing seriously

Red

Tournament players, training as a fixed group twice a week, with a tournament and a Match-Play Saturday each month and tournament coaching on the road.

Before the first class

What to bring, what to expect

Non-marking indoor shoes and something to run around in. Ask us about borrowing a racquet and protective eyewear for the first classes, so there is nothing to buy before you know they love it. Arrive ten minutes early the first time so the coach can say hello.

Joining after the term has started? Tuition is pro-rated. And need-based financial aid applies to every Academy place — apply here.
