Farida Mohamed, originally from Alexandria, Egypt, is a professional squash player known for her explosive and powerful playing style, earning her the nickname "The Bazooka." She began her squash career at a young age, training with her sister, Habiba Mohamed, a former Columbia University squash player.
Farida continued her journey at Columbia University, where she has been a standout player, playing at the No. 1 position for the Lions and contributing to their success.
Since debuting on the PSA World Tour in 2018, Farida has won multiple titles, including the Growthpoint South Africa Open and the Carol Weymuller Open in 2023. She reached a career-high world ranking of No. 14 in October 2022.
